The tenth edition of the Tullibardine Marquess Collection is a true masterclass in distillation and cask selection.
There have been famous historical figures bearing the title the Marquess of Tullibardine for centuries. The 2nd Marquess of Tullibardine, Sir William Murray fought for the Jacobites at the Battle of Sherrifmuir on the hills above the distillery. In 1745 he was chosen by Bonnie Prince Charlie to unfurl the Royal Standard at Glenfinnan announcing the Prince as the rightful King. To acknowledge this connection with the past we decided to name our new whisky after Sir William Murray. From our stills, to barrel, to bottle, this is a classic Tullibardine that has spent all its life in 1st fill Bourbon barrels since 2007.
Tastingnotes
Nose: honeycomb candy with butterscotch fudge, layers of candy floss, crème brûlée and molasses all drenched in a warm spiced bergamot orange liqueur.
Taste: rich creamy toffee flavours infused with citrus fruits, brownie baked Alaska with hints of choc chip mint ice cream
Finish: a long lingering velvety finish.

Tullibardine Distillery ligger vid foten av berget Ochil Hill i Perthshire,, precis där det skotska höglandet börjar. Ochil Hill är känd för sitt kristallklara källvatten. Det är vatten från denna källa som Tullibardine använder när man gör sin whisky.
Det är även samma källa som Skottlands första bryggeri använde under 1400-talet. Det var King James IV som gjorde bryggeriet känt genom att köpa festölen till sin kröning därifrån år 1488.
Dagens destilleri är byggt på samma plats som bryggeriet och producerar en fin single malt whisky av majestätisk kvalité. Någon har till och med myntat uttrycket "Enastående drickbar" om whiskyn.
