The next limited edition in the Tullibardine Marquess Collection is a 2013 Bourbon Cask Strength expression fully matured in first-filled bourbon barrels.
The Marquess Collection, launched in 2016, is a nod to famous historical figures who bore the Marquess of Tullibardine title in Scotland for centuries, and the rich history of the Tullibardine region.
The Murray name derives from the 2nd Marquess of Tullibardine, Sir William Murray, who fought for the
Jacobites at the Battle of Sheriffmuir on the Ochil hills above the Tullibardine distillery.

Tastingnotes
Nose: Vanilla pod, creamy custard with roasted/toasted barley malt and light biscuit notes.
Palate: Sweet notes of buttery toffee and honeycomb, balanced by mid-palate complexity that emerges through dark fruit undertones marries with toasted oak and nuts and a subtle woody spice.
Finish: Warming vanilla provides a soft, rounded lingering finish.

Tullibardine Distillery marknadsförs av Jolly Good Brands.
Tullibardine Distillery ligger vid foten av berget Ochil Hill i Perthshire,, precis där det skotska höglandet börjar. Ochil Hill är känd för sitt kristallklara källvatten. Det är vatten från denna källa som Tullibardine använder när man gör sin whisky.
Det är även samma källa som Skottlands första bryggeri använde under 1400-talet. Det var King James IV som gjorde bryggeriet känt genom att köpa festölen till sin kröning därifrån år 1488.
Dagens destilleri är byggt på samma plats som bryggeriet och producerar en fin single malt whisky av majestätisk kvalité. Någon har till och med myntat uttrycket "Enastående drickbar" om whiskyn.

Det rör på sig ute i naturen. Sakta men säkert så kommer våren vi alla väntat på. Även om det varit rejält blåsigt och nätterna är kalla så finns det hopp om sol och värme, för att inte nämna möjlighet att få sitta med ett glas whisky på lämpligt ställe och tycka att livet ändå är rätt OK. |
