Only 162 bottles were produced from a single barrel of
Imperial Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which was aged for
more than 34 years. Imperial closed its doors for the final
time in 1998. Increasingly hard to find, its soft and juicy
style is sought after by malt fans around the world.

Tastingnotes
NOSE
A warming aromatic vanilla and cardamom custard with a
background hint of finely cut mint and basil leaves. A thicker,
denser feel forms with notes of hazelnut praline and cocoa nibs,
offset by rich peach juice and elderflower cordial.
PALATE
At first delicate and poised with flavours of mint and eucalyptus,
but the sweetness builds and the feel becomes syrupy with honeydew
melon and vanilla cream. Rich tones of raspberry and sweetened
milk are tempered by tarragon and rosemary.
FINISH
The herbaceous side dominates the finish followed by lingering rich
peach juice.

Den legendariske whiskysamlaren Suhkinder Singh är välkänd för många, speciellt genom sin postorderbutik The Whisky Exchange. Suhkinder lyckades väl med sina samlingar så pass bra att han öppnade två butiker i London.
Snart började man buteljera med egen etikett som man kallade The Single Malts of Scotland.
Flera buteljeringar har fått mycket bra kritik i olika whiskytidningar, inklusive Editors Choice i Whisky Magazine. År 2021 såldes The Whisky Exchange till Pernod Ricard
The Single Malts of Scotland buteljeras idag av hans bolag Elixir distillers. Man har också köpt destilleriet Tormore i Speyside och är i färd med att bygga ett nytt destilleri på Islay
