“During the distillation process innumerable variables can have an impact upon the finished character of the spirit. The antiquated ‘Worm Tub’ method of condensation employed at
Benrinnes not only allows a peek back into a former age of whisky production, but allows a rich, savoury, almost meaty
character often to be found in the whisky.”
This robust and fruity Speyside offers vibrant aromas of green apple, dried pineapple and plenty of zesty lime on the
nose, one can see just by looking this malt has an inviting thick palate. The palate is almost as much about texture as it is flavour, offering a thick, oily delivery of more fresh fruit and plenty of malty grassiness also. This well-structured whisky coats the palate giving an exceptionally long warming finish.
