| Information: THE KING OF SCOTS var den mest sålda whiskyn i både Skottland och London i början av 1900-talet. Det var då som Douglas laing flyttade från norra Skottland till Glasgow för att bygga vidare på sin framgång med sin djupa kunskap om och uppskattning från de olika destillerierna i Skottland. Sedan dess har familjen Laing fortsatt att expandera. Fred Douglas Laing har använt sig av de blandningsspecifikationer som han muntligen fått av sin far och som fortfarande används av hans söner Fred och Stewart. Deras policy har varit att utveckla sitt lager och även utveckla sitt sortiment. 1949 bestämde sig Mr Laing för att gå sin egen väg utan sin partner och skapade sitt eget företag Douglas Laing & Co Ltd. Han sparade stora lager av åldrande fat med whisky för att skydda sina varumärken som t.ex. The King of Scots. |
